Keg Spear Swap Program
Did you know that the seals in your kegs can wear out over time? This can cause leaks and other problems. Experts say you should service your keg spears every seven years to replace worn-out parts.
If you can’t send your kegs to our service center, don’t worry! Our Spear Swap Program can help you keep your kegs in great shape. A well-serviced spear makes sure your keg works properly, saves your beer from being wasted, and keeps your customers happy.
How It Works:
- No Downtime: We send you refurbished spears that you can swap out right away at your brewery. No lengthy downtime for your kegs.
- Credit for Old Spears: We’ll give you credit for your old spears, which we’ll refurbish for the next brewery. It’s simple and cost-effective!
- Support: We’ll help you choose the right spears and provide tools for the swap. We also offer videos to show you how to do it safely and correctly the first time.
- High Quality: The spears we provide are top-quality, cleaned, and fitted with new seals. They meet all the standards for DSI and Micro Matic spears.
- Return Process: After swapping the spears, send back the old ones, along with any tools and unused spears. We’ll process your credit once we receive them.
With the Spear Swap Program, your kegs will stay in top condition, and you won’t have to worry about downtime or beer loss.
Pricing
Refurbished A-Type Spear: $30.50 ex GST
Credit for old A-Type Spear: $10.00 ex GST
Loan Tools: NO charge
Net Price per spear swap: $20.50 ex GST

There is also the option to purchase new or refurbished spears without trading in the old ones. To be eligible for a credit for your old spears they need to meet the following criteria:
- Spears must be either from DSI or Micro Matic
- Not damaged (dented, bent, etc.)
- Must have the manufacturers safety latch in place (not removed)
If you have D-Type spears, please talk to us about or valve swap and D-to-A change over programs.
